What types of tools do you sharpen?
We specialize in sharpening a wide variety of blades, including chef’s knives, paring knives, serrated knives, salon shears, grooming shears, garden tools, and select specialty blades. If you’re unsure whether we can sharpen your tool, just ask!
How long does sharpening take?
Most sharpening orders are finished within a few days. If you drop off items at our Farmers Market booth, it is first-come, first-serve. Some may require pick up at the following week’s market. However, they’re often ready for same-day pickup.
Do I need to make an appointment?
Appointments aren’t required for drop-offs at our main location or Farmers Market booth. If you have a large volume (10+ items), we recommend contacting us ahead of time so we can schedule accordingly.
How should I prepare my knives for drop-off?
Please wrap each blade securely in a towel or protective sleeve, and place them in a sturdy container or bag. You can see how to safely wrap them by visiting our Get Started Page. We have photos and step-by-step instructions to guide you.
Do you offer mobile sharpening services?
At this time, we do not offer on-site sharpening. However, we have convenient drop-off and pickup options, including Farmers Market locations and scheduled collection events.
What if my knife has chips or a broken tip?
Minor chips and broken tips can usually be repaired during sharpening. Severe damage may incur a small additional fee. Bring the blade in so we can assess it and give you a clear estimate.
Can you sharpen ceramic knives?
Unfortunately, we do not sharpen ceramic blades. These require specialized equipment that we do not currently offer.
How often should I have my blades sharpened?
For professional kitchens we recommend sharpening every 4–8 weeks. For professional salons we reccomend sharpening every 3-6 months, and for home cooks every 6–12 months, depending on use. Sharp tools improve safety and performance.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, check, credit cards, debit cards, and digital payments like Apple Pay. We do not accept Cash App, or Zelle.
